News: Backup system testing

Published: 18/11/2012 Back

As an enterprise data provider, the services offered out of data centres are held up against stringent guidelines regarding redundancy levels and operational uptime. In fact, the standards we hold ourselves to are among the highest in the industry.

This commitment brings many standard enterprise best practices, such as failover testing done only in the highest quality datacenters. Essentially, once a year we subject our facility to a power disruption scenario, to ensure backup systems and redundancy levels perform as they should. There is an upcoming maintenance window to conduct such a test as follows:

DATE: 12/04/2012 (US) / 04/12/2012 (rest of the world)
START TIME: 7:00 a.m. MST (GMT -7)
END TIME: 12:00 p.m. MST (GMT -7)
LENGTH OF MAINTENANCE WINDOW: 5 hours

During this maintenance window, we are not anticipating there will be any disruption of service to your business. Additionally, it will occur during the daytime as an added precaution in the event any personnel from our power infrastructure vendors are required to act.
