Mr. Mail vs Google and Facebook

It is well known that most of the people did not read Google’s latest revamped Terms and Conditions, in particular their privacy policy. Is this really that surprising? We, at Mr. Mail know that only few % of our customers have read our Terms. No one really reads it, all anyone does is tick the box marked “I have read and understood the terms”. Anyone, including Google, Facebook and even other Zimbra hosting services, can put virtually any stupid clause in and it will probably go unnoticed.

The good news is that Google have finally streamlined their Terms and Conditions from 70 different separate terms into a single, all-encompassing master document.

Under the new terms, data is now gathered from across every service they provide and passed onto a third party. Although no more information is being collected, it has been effectively streamlined. Google Map records are now kept with search results, and combine Google+ and Gmail searches, records, and uploaded information, and so on. Google have thus been accused of putting advertisers’ interests before users’ needs. It was then revealed that Google’s new policy might be in breach of EU law – and pandemonium ensued.

What some people don’t like in particular is Google’s intention to target it’s advertising to our specific needs. Anyway, do you know that Facebook has been doing it almost since beginning? People now almost accept that at least if they have to be exposed to constant advertising, then surely it is better to have it tailored to their own interests at least.

Also, Google can do whatever they want with the gathered data. They can sell it to third parties. A lot of companies utilize this knowledge to tailor their prices, it is been known that airlines charge different price for different customers and the same seats. In this digital age companies like Google and Facebook gathered so much informations about us to make us scared.

So how does Mr. Mail compare to companies like Google and Facebook? Let’s see:

  1. We never sold and never will any informations about our customers
  2. We do not gather any data from your mailboxes, we do not monitor the content of your emails, you have full privacy
  3. We do not link our services with any advertisements, when you login to your mail accounts all you will see it will be your emails and content which would not be visible to anybody else or gathered by any bots

Mr. Mail offers just secure Zimbra hosting services, we do not even put any advertisments to web holding pages. All is clear, you can be assured of complete safety and privacy, starting with your personal and company details and ending with your email privacy.

Google is free, but they are watching you. Mr. Mail Zimbra hosting services are free too (not all of them, of course), but we highly value your privacy and protect your data.
